HandsOn Jacksonville needs volunteers!



Global Youth Service Day is the largest youth service day in the world! During the weekend of April 26th - April 28th, youth led projects engaging youth volunteers will be taking place all around the world. 

Our Youth Council Leaders are an enthusiastic, compassionate group that have worked hard to develop projects to benefit our community.  Come out and show your support by joining a GYSD Project!

Art Against Bullying
Friday, April 26th
3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Oceanway Community Center
Help lead an art project for 40 elementary school-aged children  
that will offer them a platform to express what makes their schools safe and address the importance of preventing bullying.  Click to register

Adopt a Room
Saturday, April 27th
7:30 am - 11:30 am
Community Connections
This project was designed by youth to address the issues of homelessness and poverty. Help paint and decorate a room for an incoming woman and her children at this transitional housing facility. Click to register


Grounds Beautification
Saturday, April 27th
8:00 am - 11:30 am

Help with mulching, weeding, gardening and more to spruce up this transitional housing facility.  Click to register

Work for Change
Saturday, April 27th
8:00 am - 1:00 pm
City Rescue Mission
Help paint walls, read to kids, build a library, make comfort bags for children entering the shelter and distribute food to families.  Click to register

Fletcher Beautification Day
Saturday, April 27th
9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Fletcher Middle School
Work with school faculty to spread mulch, clear out sawgrass plants, weed gardens, remove palmettos, plant new trees and more.  Click to register
