Studio Tech
Action News has a part-time opening for someone who is looking to start a career in television news. This is an excellent opportunity for the right person to begin a career in broadcast news by being a part of our behind the scenes control room and studio floor crew. You will work your way through various duties during our newscasts in order to give you a well rounded set of skills that you can use to grow with us.
Previous television production experience is preferred. Good communication skills with an understanding of studio etiquette, a willingness to take on a proactive role in the studio and the ability to deal diplomatically with various personalities are all part of this job.
Candidates must also be physically capable of moving heavy set pieces during newscasts and productions as well as being comfortable with climbing ladders to change out studio lighting as needed. Keep in mind that we work in a deadline driven, pressure filled environment and you must have flexibility to work nights, weekends and changing schedules as well as holidays.
