Every year, the Friends of 440, a charitable organization comprised of people who work in the Florida workers’ compensation system, grants scholarship funds to deserving kids whose parents are involved in the workers’ compensation system as, for example, lawyers, insurance adjusters, medical personnel who treat workers’ compensation patients, and, of course, injured workers.

The purpose of this letter is to let you know that these scholarships are available to kids who have the talent, the financial need, and the necessary connection to the workers’ compensation system. High school seniors must have a 2.7 GPA to apply and scholarship recipients must maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA and have at least 12 credit hours per semester, in order to remain eligible for funds.

Applications for scholarships must be received by February 28, 2013, and the application is on our website at: www.440scholarship.org
