Media Advisory - Duval County Public Schools' Presents Title I Parent University

WHAT:
Duval County Public Schools is holding its fourth annual Title I Parent University for parents and caregivers. Parent University offers an array of classes that are designed to be informative, interactive and fun. Classes include:
  • Parent advocacy;
  • Obtaining success with FCAT reading, math and writing for elementary and secondary years;
  • Pre-K family literacy assessments in reading (FAIR);
  • Early college preparation;
  • Helping your ESE child;
  • Preparing your child for college/and or career;
  • Parent involvement equals student success;
  • Cyber safety;
  • Bank of America-Money Smart; and
  • Family fitness, suicide prevention and bullying
Those attending the event may register by calling (904) 633-5356. Requests for language translation and childcare must be reserved by Monday, October 15, 2012.
