Need a summer job?


MAYOR'S SUMMER JOBS PROGRAM

Funded by The Jacksonville Journey, the Mayor's Summer Jobs Program provides the opportunity for 185 Duval County students, ages 16-21 to earn valuable experience working in various facets of city government for five, 20-hour weeks, plus one week of training beginning Monday June 18th and ending Friday, July 27th.

Program Eligibility Requirements:

  • Youth ages 16-21who have a desire to make a difference in their community and want to gain valuable job skills.
  • Must live in Zone 1 - one of the following zip codes:  32202, 32204, 32206, 32208, 32209, 32254
  • Must be attending school (high school, college, or trade school
  • Must have a 2.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) or higher
  • Must have no more than 4 unexcused absences
  • Must pass drug test
Beginning Friday, April 6th and ending Friday, April 27th, we will be reviewing initial applications through our survey.
