In 2011, we’re proud to introduce the GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarships, which will reward up to 20 students each year with $10,000 a year, for up to four years.
In order to earn one of the scholarships, students must demonstrate that they exhibit the values of Ronald Reagan: leadership, drive, integrity and citizenship. In addition to providing information regarding their academic, financial and extracurricular backgrounds, students will be required to secure a nomination from a community leader and an academic recommendation, and write a 500-750 word essay on the following subject:
Before he became America’s 40th president, Ronald Reagan pursued leadership roles to inspire and advocate for those around him. Describe how your leadership and service has made a positive difference in your school, in your community, in your family and/or on the job, and how it will continue to make a difference in college and beyond.
