Vantagepoint Public Employee Memorial Scholarship Fund

Description:
The Vantagepoint Public Employee Memorial Scholarship Fund, founded by ICMA-RC, provides scholarships to the surviving children and spouses of US city, county, and state public employees* who have died in service to their communities.  Applicants must enroll in and attend an accredited college, university, or vocational-technical school on a full-time basis. High school seniors, undergraduates and graduate students are eligible to apply.

ICMA-RC founded the Vantagepoint Public Employee Memorial Scholarship Fund in 2001 to honor the lives of our Nation's police officers, firefighters, and other local and state government employees who have died in the line of duty.
The Fund provides the surviving spouses and children of these employees who have given so much to their communities financial assistance in education as they move forward with their lives.
Scholarships in amounts of up to $10,000 are awarded to students who plan to attend a two- or four-year accredited college, university, or vocational school full-time.
The Scholarship Fund is a Section 501(c)(3) public charity. The Fund's Board of Directors manages and oversees the eligibility and award selection process. Scholarships are managed and administered through Scholarship America and the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF).
