Kids Together Against Cancer. Support for families dealing with a parent's cander journey.

Time to Register
 for the New 5 week
KTAC Sessions...

As a parent with cancer, one of the hardest things to do when you are diagnosed is talk to your family.

You may ask yourself, "How much should I tell them? I don't want to scare my children, but I don't want to lie to them either."
·  You may be unclear what your child understands, "My son never says anything to me about my cancer."
·  If you question "Am I going to die from this?", your child may be quietly worried too.

Kids Together Against Cancer's five week program is child and parent focused in a positive and fun environment.

Art Educators, from the Cummer Museum of Art, help children create beautiful art projects to help express their feelings.

Licensed Oncology Social Workers guide adult group discussion to help families cope with the cancer diagnosis.

USF's 41st Annual Engineering EXPO

February 22-23, 2013 from 9:00AM - 4:00PM

The USF Engineering EXPO team personally invites you and your school to the 41st annual Engineering EXPO! Located at the USF Tampa Campus in the Engineering Complex, this FREE exhibition seeks to educate K-12 students on the importance of engineering, science, technology, and math in their lives. EXPO is held on both Friday, the 22nd, and Saturday, the 23rd, of February 2013, taking place from 9am to 4pm.

Last year the USF Engineering EXPO had more than 19,000 elementary, middle and high school students in attendance. Guests have the opportunity to visit interactive booths and shows put on by over 40 USF student organizations, 15 engineering and science departments, 10 research laboratories, and many local corporations. All of our exhibits are designed to be interactive - to teach students while entertaining students. This is a great opportunity for college-bound students to learn about USF Engineering and for students of all ages to gain an interest in the fields of engineering, science, technology, and math.

In previous years, corporations that have provided exhibits include TECO Energy, NASA, Honeywell, Raytheon, Mosaic, Air Force, FLATE, and Lockheed Martin. All of these corporations offer demonstrations and activities while giving students a unique opportunity to meet with local engineers.
