The PFLAG Scholarship Program application process begins on February 13th.
Many PFLAG chapters have scholarship programs as well. Students are eligible to receive scholarships from both their local chapter and the national office so encourage students you know to apply for both. Review the list of chapter scholarships.
Eligibility Requirements
- You are a graduating senior entering higher education for the first time, this calendar year (if you graduated in the past year and took a time off you are still eligible to apply)
- Self identify as a gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) or an ally
- Demonstrate an interest in service to the LGBT community
- Have applied to an accredited U.S.higher education institution

PFLAG of Jacksonville holds an annual scholarship contest for openly gay, lesbian, bisexual, and Transgender individuals enrolled in higher education. These individuals are active in and educate the community around them. From psychologists to ministers, our recipients are from every walk of life and age range.
Every year PFLAG holds its annual banquet in honor of these representatives of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and Transgender community.
2013-2014 PFLAG Scholarship Applications
Please remember that this Scholarship Program is available to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) persons in the Jacksonville metropolitan area (Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, and St. Johns Counties) and to aid them in their pursuit of post-secondary education. DEADLINE JUNE 1st!!!!
