Advisory-Duval County Public Schools’ Presents Title I Parent University
What:
Duval County
Public Schools’ is holding its fourth annual Title I Parent University for
parents and caregivers. Parent University offers an array of classes that are
designed to be informative, interactive and fun. Classes include:

Parent
advocacy;
·
Obtaining
success with FCAT reading, math and writing for elementary and secondary years;
·
Pre-K
family literacy assessments in reading (FAIR);
·
Early
college preparation;
·
Helping
your ESE child;
·
Preparing
your child for college/and or career;
·
Parent
involvement equals student success;
·
Cyber
safety;
·
Bank
of America–Money Smart; and
·
Family
fitness, suicide prevention and bullying
Those attending the event may register by
calling (904) 633-5356. Requests for language translation and childcare must be
reserved by Monday, October 15, 2012.
Those attending the free event will receive
a certification and a family literacy gift. Lunch will be provided to all
