- The applicant must be currently accepted to and planning to attend a two or four year university during the 2011-2012 fall term, or currently a full-time undergraduate or graduate student and has a cumulative GPA average of 3.0 or better.
- The applicant must be at most a third generation Hispanic, a Permanent Resident Alien or U.S. citizen with established residency in the Florida First Coast region: Duval, St. Johns, Clay, Baker or Nassau Counties; for at least three (3) years prior to the awarding date of the scholarship
- Applicants must submit:
- completed application
- official transcript
- proof of acceptance or enrollment in a two or four-year university or grad school
- essay between 400-500 words on why you need or deserve this scholarship
- two professional letters of recommendation
- resume (if application is for graduate school)
- The stipend will be used to pay for tuition and/or books and will be in addition to and not to conflict with any other scholarships or grants the student may be entitled to.
