Give yourself a better chance to win this new contest by studying the winners in the $10,000 technology essay contest that ended last week:

Here's one of the 60 winning entries which answered this question: How does technology make the world a better place?

The world has changed.
From the small village to massive cityscapes,
Technology has shaped and sculpted with steady hands
A new earth.
With grace and fluidity
We have reached for the stars
And now hold handfuls.
There is no one my voice
Can’t tell stories to.
Through film and text
And a simple phone call,
The masses can hear me
And I can embrace
Those across the frigid seas.
Satellites protect me
From losing myself in the jumbled streets.
The ever stretching web
Keeps me from losing touch
With those after my heart,
So yes,
Technology has made a difference.
