One of UF's most charismatic and popular presidents selects students each year who exemplify for UF Presidents John V. Lombardi's committment to academic excellence, community service, leadership, and public responsibility. Lombardi Scholars will receive a substantial scholarship for four years of study at UF; they will also be matched with a faculty mentor in their field and will receive support for several overseas study and internship experiences. Scholars are selected based upon an application and letter of nomination from their high school principal or guidance counselor, followed by an interview with a blue-ribbon committee of UF faculty and alumni. Applications and related materials must be postmarked by February 1, and scholars will be announced by April 1. Visit the website for application and more info: www.honors.ufl.edu/lombardi
